Another issue that is linked to this, is costume designers are fighting for equal pay with their male counterparts in other departments. Production Designers and DP’s (Director of photography), are primarily men and make significantly more money even though costumes designers contribute equally to the visual aspect of a film. Costume designers want recognition and pay for their work!
